FAIR GAME was my first project after KEEL from 1989-1992, a time when I was really zeroing in on writing good commercial rock songs and finding a balance between my screaming voice and my singing voice. It was the first attempt ever for a rock frontman to have an all-female band behind him - FAIR GAME was powered by some very lovely and talented women who knew how to rock and gave the music a special energy and passion. Two of the songs ended up on the movie soundtrack for "Bad Channels," and one - "The Time Of My Life" - has become one of my signature songs in solo performances (a different version appears on my "Alone At Last" collection). IRONHORSE RIDES AGAIN - MAY 11/12  My band IronHorse (2000-2006) will be reunited on stage May 11/12 to help raise money for the Parker Headings Foundation. And IronHorse was - and is - an amazing band, some of the best music and memories of my career. Way ahead of our time in fusing hard rock and country music into a ferocious southern-rock hybrid, IH released two CD's and performed over 700 shows from coast to coast, including headline dates at major biker events and opening slots for 38 Special and others, until the miles between the band members prohibited further productivity and we parted ways in '06. When KEEL reunited in 2008, I brough along IronHorse bassist Geno Arce. Although we got together for an acoustic reunion a couple of years ago, this will be the first time that Geno, drummer Gaetano Nicolosi, guitarist Jay Rusnak and myself have shared the stage together in exactly six years. This is long overdue and it's for a great cause - to get 10 year-old Parker Headings the medical treatments he needs. We will be headlining the "Annual Joe 'Hug' James Memorial Poker Run" at Lee's Sports In Spirits in Plain City Ohio on Saturday May 11, with an exclusive pre-event party and concert at the same venue the night before. This is our old stomping grounds, where we got our start and where our people still ride through the heartland cranking IronHorse music. Over the next couple of months I'll be posting more IH tunes, photos, and videos and re-living some of the best times of our lives, and then we'll make some new memories the second weekend in May. As I start to make sense out of the calendar in the months to come, it has become obvious that I unfortunately must put LAS VEGAS STRIPPED on hiatus. There will simply be too many weekend bookings with KEEL and my other projects to maintain a regular schedule. We may bring it back to Club Fortune Casino this summer for some special 1-time events, but as of right now this Friday March 23 will be the grand finale for a while. So I hope all of my musician friends, singer songwriters and party people will join us as we put an exclamation point on LVS and kick off my birthday weekend with one hell of a party...
There are a number of KEEL shows confirmed which I have not been given clearance to announce, but I can tell you that we'll be back in Texas at the Speaking Rock Casino & Entertainment Center in El Paso on Thursday July 5 with Great White & Slaughter. March 20 Update

The second edition of my "Streets Of Rock & Roll" Radio Show is now online at http://ronkeel.com, had a lot of fun with this one - it features interviews with Brian Vollmer (Helix) & Rob Marcello (Danger Danger, IronHorse) and a live acoustic version of Rob and I performing the Steeler classic "Serenade" at LAS VEGAS STRIPPED. NEW KEEL CONFIRMATIONS: In the wake of the killer KEEL gigs on the "Monsters Of Rock Cruise," it seems that more opportunities are knocking for the band. We have shows in several states confirmed for May-July...unfortunately I have not yet been given clearance to announce the details. Two of the states begin with the letter "C" - one begins with the letter "T" - one begins with the letter "A" - and there are so many places we still want to visit during the Reunion era. I apologize in advance if your city or region is not on the itinerary, we've got nothing to do with it. Your local venues/promoters are in charge of who they book, so BANG ON 'EM to get KEEL to your town. I am hoping to announce the confirmed KEEL dates on the next episode of the radio show if not sooner. If it is sooner, it will be on the FORUM at ronkeel.com, so register, log in, hang out and post and enjoy this fun feature on the new site. I'm excited to take my COWBOY BAND/Ronnie Dunn tribute on the road for an appearance at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio CA on April 5. I have a solo "Rebel Rocker" acoustic gig at the historic "Happy Burro" in legendary Beatty, NV on April 1 - no foolin' - love that place, those people, and these kind of gigs.
